Free finance workshop for schools and academies

It’s not rocket science, schools and academies with streamlined financial processes have the resources and the tools they need to enhance educational excellence and improve outcomes.

We’re heading to Nottingham Racecourse on 7th March 2017 to hold a free finance workshop on the issues currently impacting budgets and ways that you can ensure your school or academy has seamless financial processes.

Whether you’re a head teacher or a business manager, join us at either our morning (9.30am-12pm) or afternoon (1pm-3.30pm) session to learn how you can stay on top of your financial management, ahead of your LA budget submission deadline (if you’re a maintained school) or EFA deadline (if you’re an academy). The workshop will also be a fantastic opportunity to share best practice tips and advice with your peers.

As we’re hosting the event at the racecourse, perhaps it’s appropriate to suggest you think of it as your guaranteed ticket to the winners’ enclosure!

Keep your school’s finances on course

To continue the analogy, the line-up for the event will cover a series of topics with an open forum for discussion, all designed to keep your maintained school on course for the budget deadline set by your local authority or the EFA.

Learn all you need to know about:

• Consultation for funding formula round 2, open until 22 March 2017, and the possible impact of the formula changes
• The change to the employer rate for teachers’ pensions, arriving in April 2019
• The apprenticeship levy and associated cost implications
• The Pupil Premium five years on, including funding for your next financial year
• Year-end tips for maintained schools to avoid last minute budget panics (If you’re an academy, there’s no harm in being prepared!)
