Let's be honest: technical issues in finance systems aren't the kind of thing you want to discover mid-period. But we're already seeing V7 clients getting stuck this week when posting transactions into Period 12 (August 2026).
It appears this is only affecting V7 users currently, but we're keeping tabs on all other versions.
Here's what happened.
The Problem
The Year End Periods (P97, P98, and P99) come with a default end date of 31st August 2026. When V7 clients started posting into Period 12 — which also ends on 31st August — the system spotted a conflict. The dates matched, and the system threw an error, preventing transactions from posting.
This only affects V7 clients (V6 users won't see this), and IRIS/PSF weren't aware of the issue until we flagged it.
The Workaround (For Now)
Good news: we've already identified a temporary fix that'll keep you moving.
Head into Period Maintenance and temporarily change the end dates for:
- P97
- P98
- P99
- (P96, if you have one)
Change them from 31st August 2026 to 1st September 2026.
That's it. Your transactions will post without a hitch.
Important Reminder
Before you move into Year End processing or start using Period 97, change those end dates back to 31st August 2026. We're not trying to create new headaches, just prevent them.
What's Next?
We're working with IRIS/PSF to get a permanent fix in place. Until then, this workaround will keep your V7 system running smoothly.
