Who do we hire?

In addition, we work with schools to develop bespoke cover resources which can be called on in times of urgent need.

As teachers are at the heart of our education service we know that the more prepared a teacher is to deliver a class, the better the experience will be for you and your students. To do this we provide cover supervisors, teachers, teaching assistants and specialist intervention staff.

The Recruitment Process

SAAF Supply is dedicated to hiring high quality educators. To do this we have a thorough interview process to ensure candidates are passionate about teaching and have relevant qualifications. And, we ensure our processes go beyond the safer recruitment requirements of the DfE’s statutory guidance “Keeping Children Safe in Education”.

In addition, we conduct stringent assessments and checks before our employees start a placement with you. This includes:

  1. Face to face interviews with one of our senior education recruitment specialists to ensure candidates have the right qualifications and experience for your school
  2. Extensive background and identity checks
  3. Collating a minimum of two business references
  4. Conducting DBS and barred list check
  5. Ensuring they have thorough safeguarding knowledge
  6. Briefing teachers and support staff on your school before they attend
